Pandemic Preparedness for Business

RISK MITIGATION AND SUCCESS STARTS WITH TRAINING

This national crisis is putting U.S. businesses at risk as they are relying on ad-hoc online training programs, or even worse – going it on their own with in-person training.

The results so far have been disastrous, and this has been confirmed as our team looked at over 300 businesses that have been forced to shut down due to easily avoidable compliance violations, lawsuits, and a workforce that refused to return to work.

As thousands of U.S. businesses have learned the hard way, training must provide more than basic workplace COVID-19 procedures.

Businesses and their teams must now adhere to a complex web of heavily enforced regulations across HIPAA, OSHA, ADA, EEOC, FFCRA, and other state and federal rules that were enacted as a result of COVID-19.

To get these right, organizations and their management must have effective and reliable training in place.  Management and staff are also in desperate need of expert guidance for adapting to a polarized environment of cautious customers and a weary workforce.

All roads lead to proper training, and for the first time, the most critical training that managers and staff require is now included in one comprehensive training solution.

Developed by a hand-picked team of experts across business operations, law, health, human resources, policy, operations, and business leadership, our training was designed to help businesses not only survive, but also thrive – during a pandemic, and well beyond.

THE RISKS ARE NOW TOO HIGH

The risks are too high

The pandemic has ushered in a new era of business risks that will outlive vaccines, business-friendly legislation, and even Workers’ Compensation – which have already been creatively circumvented by many plaintiffs’ legal teams.

POOR TRAINING HAS PUT BUSINESSES IN PERIL

Current training methods have failed us

The crisis revealed the fact that traditional workplace trainings are not only costly and cumbersome, but are also ineffective and lack the coverage of topics that our real-world business community requires.

IF THE TRAINING DOESN’T WORK, WORK STOPS

If training doesn't work, work stops

Research shows that with traditional online and in-person training methods, employees only remember and apply about 10% of their training to the workplace.

Our workforce is diverse, and the old one-size-fits-all training approach isn’t keeping up with the times, especially when health, safety, and compliance are mission critical.

Some learn better by watching videos, while others prefer to read. Our system gives learners the choice and with an AI (artificial intelligence) enabled software, our training adapts to each employee’s learning behavior.

This helps ensure that employees are effectively trained on the key information they need so they can remember what matters most, and apply it to the workplace.

COMPLIANCE: WE DID THE WORK FOR YOU

We have done the work of simplifying the complex rules and regulations that affect your business, and in a way that your teams can easily master and apply to the workplace.

Our compliance tracking team updates the training as rules change, saving you the cost and burden of tracking, training, and re-training.

DEVELOPED BY A TEAM OF EXPERTS & BUSINESS LEADERS

This crisis touches every aspect of a business’s ecosystem. This is why we enlisted a team of leaders with real world business experience and experts across industrial hygiene, health, education, law, human resources, and business leadership.

We also struck a perfect balance of health and commerce in our partnership with the University of Utah Health and their supporting grants from the U.S. Department of Commerce and the National Institutes of Health.

EASY-TO-USE ADMINISTRATOR VIEW

learner data dashboard

Your HR manager or training lead can easily access their admin portal at any time and view each learner’s progress. The system allows you to go deeper if you want to see more specific data such as areas where an employee may need remediation or may not be engaged. This helps you spot a problem before it’s too late.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW LONG DOES THE TRAINING TAKE?

Training time can vary per learner. MANAGERS training averages about 6 hours or less and EMPLOYEES training for non-managers takes approximately 2 hours.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE ORDER IS PLACED?

You submit a list which individuals will do the MANAGERS training and which employees will do the EMPLOYEE training. The list includes FIRST, LAST, and EMAIL. Log-ins will be emailed to each individual and teams can begin training immediately.

SHOULD LEARNERS TAKE THE TRAINING IN ONE SESSION?

To optimize the training experience, we suggest that learners break the training into 1-2 sessions with breaks on the hour. This helps avoid training-fatigue and better ensures retention.

ARE THERE REFUNDS?

Refunds requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may be issued as long as no individual has completed the entire training.

CAN YOU JUMP AROUND AND SKIP SECTIONS?

Each learning section builds off the previous so taking the course in sequence is mandatory.

WHO DEVELOPED THE TRAINING?

The training was developed by the experts in workplace training at Equanimity Media, Fulcrum Labs, and the University of Utah Health. Subject matter experts in medicine, health, law, industrial hygiene, human resources, workplace psychology, business leadership, business operations, technology, and education also contributed to the curriculum’s research and development. Policies and procedures were referenced from multiple agencies including OSHA, NIOSH, CDC, EPA, ADA, EEOC, DOL, HIPAA, and other federal and state agencies.

HOW DO THE CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS WORK?

CEU, or Continuing Education Units and ABIH Certification Maintenance Points are awarded by the University of Utah Health. Certificates are emailed directly to each learner who completes their respective training. The ABIH CM Points apply to professionals in the field of Industrial Hygiene.
